Robert O’Brien has spent his career working in financial, economic and political risk.

He has experience working in Europe, the the US and in Asia. For the last 18 years he has been based in Japan. Here he has helped Japanese government agencies and manufacturers to quantify economic and political risk. This provides them with the information necessary to assess international defense market size, growth and regulatory environments.

Before joining Armatus, he worked for Janes Defense Information group and SP Global in Tokyo, Thomson Reuters in New York, and Bloomberg Ltd., in London.

From March, 2025 he has started as Director of business development at PACFORCE.
